We are extending the introductory 15% discount for these exams so that it applies to all remotely-assessed Performance Grade and ARSM exams in 2021. Just enter code ABPG15MO when you book. Please also read our terms and conditions here.

Grade 5 Music Theory waiver (not applicable in the UK & Ireland)

We are extending our Grade 5 Music Theory waiver until 23 May 2021. This means that candidates with a Grade 6 to 8 Performance Grade exam submission date up to and including 23 May can take their exam without first passing Grade 5 Music Theory. We are making this exceptional arrangement to allow candidates who have been unable to take an exam in recent months to progress with their learning. From 24 May, the Grade 5 Music Theory requirement will return. For exam dates/exam submission dates after 23 May, all candidates taking a Grade 6 to 8 Performance or Practical Grade must first pass Grade 5 Music Theory.

Classical 100 remains available for home schooling

ABRSM’s Classical 100 is a fantastic collection of 100 carefully selected pieces of music and activities for you to share with your families over the coming weeks.

Now, thanks to special support from our friends at Decca Classics and Classic FM, you and your families can enjoy listening and learning together too! Classical 100 features 100 pieces of classical music, ranging from Bach to Bernstein and Handel to Haydn. You can sort the music by mood, instrument, style and historical period, or any other way that suits you.

Make musical learning more engaging. Each of the 100 pieces features its own musical challenge.

Challenge your children to complete the activities. Listen, learn and explore all 100 pieces. The challenges are fun and flexible enough to use in a number of ways – from short starter activities to longer pieces of work spanning a few hours.

You don’t have to be a music teacher to use Classical 100. Each challenge includes a helpful guide and all the resources you may need to get started so everyone can bring the magic of music into their homes.
